How tall are your 3D logos?

We can tailor the thickness to suit your needs from 0.1-1mm tall. For most jobs we recommend a height of 0.5mm to balance the amazing 3D look without adding too much weight, but both thinner and thicker looks suit different needs.

In our experience more intricate desings may need to be 0.4mm or thinner for optimal durability.

These look amazing, are there any downsides to 3D vs 2D heat transfers?

They are amazing aren't they! However there are a few drawbacks and times where 3D may not be your best option...

  1.  Cost - as these are a more premium option cost does increase roughly 30-40% compared with 2D logos
  2.  Higher MOQs compared with 2D logos - see below for minimum order quantities
  3.  Heavy washing - for items like uniforms that are getting washed very regularly or need a warm/hot washing 2D logos are typically more durable and should have a longer life
  4.  Leather, leatherette and silk - For use on these materials 2D is the much better option in the long run
  5.  Weight - If you're looking for a completely weightless feel or have an entire t-shirt back to fill 2D logos are still best. Although 0.1-0.3mm 3D logos are virtually weightless on small-medium scales
  6. Contact sports or working in confined spaces - constant rubbing and impacts may cause 3D logos to break or come off unexpectedly

Can 3D logos go on any material?

Not quite, here is a list of fabrics they are great for:

  • Plant based fabrics like cotton, bamboo, linen and jute
  • Synthetics like polyester, acrylic, nylon, spandex and lycra
  • Cellulose based materials like modal, viscose, rayon and tencel
  • Blends of any of the above (including wool blends)

Not so good materials:

  • Leather and leatherette
  • Pure wool
  • Pure silk
  • Hard surfaces

How long will 3D logos last in the wash?

3D logos are officially rated to last 50+ washes. However, in our experience and with proper care they will last far longer than that. Usually they will outlive the garment they are adhered to.

See care instructions below to optimise the longevity of your 3D logos.

Are there specific care instructions for 3D logos?

Yes. While they are incredibly durable these are still heat transfer logos, meaning the adhesive is heat activated (or de-activated!) Always wash your 3D logo'ed garments cold and tumble dry low.

Most importantly NEVER IRON near the logo.

How long does it take to complete an order?

For a first 3D order the turnaround is around 5 weeks to allow for manufacturing. However for repeat orders of the same logo size and colour this drops to our usual 7-10 business days (depending on quantity).

Do you have minimum order quantities for 3D logos?

Yes, as 3D logos are more complicated to produce we have a minimum of 30 logos per design per colour (or colour scheme for multicoloured designs)

Do metallic or patch style 3D logos cost extra?

This will depend on quantity. For smaller orders there is usually a small price increase between standard and metallic or patch logos. However for orders of 100 pieces or more we waive that charge.

What is the cost of 3D vs 2D heat transfer logos?

It's best to contact us directly as variables like dimensions, thickness, finish and quantity all affect pricing.

As a rough guide they are usually around 30-40% dearer than 2D logos but are 1000% more awesomer!
